SRC - The Leprechauns in green suffered a lethal blow after before routed by the Yellows of Eusoff in what was a...err...thrilling match. The Yellows were gifted their first goal by a clumsy mistake by Raffles' usually clinical captain whose name I shan't mention. They added their next a few minutes later, bringing their goal tally up by 2 within the first 5 minutes of the match.
Yet, Raffles managed to pull up their socks and even gave EH quite a scare when their keeper blundered, leaving an open goal behind. With the ball falling to Ram, he managed to trap it and took a cheeky shot at goal. However, it was not to be... The score ended at 2-0 at the end of the 1st half.
-2nd Half-
With an unsettled mind, Raffles conceded early in the 2nd half, in what was proving to be their Archilles heel. As what my ex-coach would say: "The first 5min after kickoff, before the whistle, after a goal and BEFORE a goal are the most important" Wise words there Mr Nordin... Forgetting the wisdom of Nordin, Raffles let in a freak goal during the first 5min of the 2nd half. With morales battered and bruised, the usually proud Phoenixes were a shadow of their former selves and though we ended up losing the battle on the pitch at the end of the 80th minute, in reality, we had already lost it after the 50th minute...in the mind.
Nevertheless, Keeper Kaisiang had a memorable time in what was quoted as being his "most fun game." In fact, it fitted his prediction of the match from the start...a 6 goal difference. Maybe that was why he didn't move during the final goal. =)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Anyway, there is still another match to be played and it's ours for the taking. So keep your heads up Rafflesians. We are AWSEOME!!! RALFFES is simply AWSEOME!! =)
Ps: Hey, I'm really serious about the "Ours for the taking" part. Half way, No way.
